So as most of you know, I recently under went some massive hip surgery. Yes that's right, 23 years old an already having hip surgery. Well anyway the surgery appeared to have gone great until two weeks afterwards, then they took out my stitches. As soon as the doc removes them it became blatantly obvious that one of my incision site had an infection and intact was not even slightly healed up. Well we are now 5 weeks post up and I am happy to share that the infection has been concquered, and the wound is actually starting to heal, finally. Now the doc says that there is an abundance of scar tissue as a result which basically puts me back 4 weeks in my rehab. All in all this has been a pretty horrible time. I dis get about 40 days off though, if you can call spending many hours a day seeing doctors off time.
So anyway it is back to work for me, or so I thought. Turns out that my chief I really worried about me going up stairs to my office because I am still on crutches and has given me a new, but temporary, position. I am the official sit in a chair and stare at the wall guy. Now don't get me wrong, I can stare with the beat of them, however this just means that all the work that has been piling up, is continuing to pile up. I think today he and I are going to have a little chat and hopefully he will understand that stairs really aren't the enemy here, terrorists are.
